Japanese Red Maple (acer palmatum 'ever red')
The distinctive new growth of this dissectum (deeply cut leaves) is covered with silver hairs which give it a downy sheen. The leaves turn deep red as they unfold and keep their color well into summer, eventually taking on bronze tones. The fall color is bright red. |
