Japanese Black Pine (pinus thunbergii 'mikawa')
Stiff dark green needles (3-5 inches long)occur in pairs. Large, grayish-white terminal buds help dishtinguish it from most other pines. Much sought after in bonsai and takes many years to acheive the look of a superior specimen bonsai. Hardy. Likes sun. Keep outdoors. 29 years old. 27" x 25" x 33".
